The essence of life is music! This is a bold statement, yes? Think about it. Our hearts beat. The beat is the heart of music! Music is a side dish in some people’s lives. For others, it’s a whole enchilada. Every year, music blogs are ranked among the most popular blogging categories. You’ll soon see why.

Music is a great way to remember special moments. When we exercise, we listen to music. We would not be able to dance without music. Music is available for all occasions. Background music is used to create a calming atmosphere. We turn the volume up when we want a good time and play music. Imagine karaoke. The “cherry” on the top of life is music. So, today I share my 40 favorite Music Blogs.

Although I am a huge music fan, I have yet to add a single music blog to my RSS feed. It’s shocking, I know. When I first started looking at music blogs, I wasn’t sure what to find. According to a music blog named everynoise.com, there are more than 4,000 different music genres.

This means that there are a total of 4,000 music blog niches. That’s only the genres. What about the many other elements that contribute to the rich music world? So I went straight to work and started searching. I’m so excited to share all the treasures I have found with you.

The top music blogs often accept unsigned artists. These blogs provide helpful and informative articles to musicians trying to make their music known or, better yet, sign with a label. There are also many news articles, reviews, and opinion pieces. Some music blogs include embedded players to allow instant listening.

Ditto Music

Ditto Music allows musicians to have their music played by platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music. You can get your music played and sell it. There are three different distribution options.

Ditto charges an annual fee for unlimited song playlisting on popular sites such as Spotify and iTunes—no hidden fees. The musicians get to keep all of their royalties. The money is paid directly to the artist’s bank account.
